Even if you’re a pretty healthy person, at some point you’ve likely been on the receiving end of a doctor’s or nurse’s care. As a patient, you probably never gave much thought as to what your caregiver was going through that day; you expect the person taking care of you to be friendly, efficient, and focused on your needs. Now that you’re preparing to become a caregiver yourself, it’s easier to understand that no one is perfect and that there’s a reason why the doctor is impatient or the nurse seems crabby. It might be hard to put into practice on your difficult days, but always strive to be the type of nurse you would want caring for you or your loved ones!
