Graph the lines of both equations. The point of intersection is the solution. Lines that do not intersect have no solution. Lines that intersect once have 1 solution. Those that are the same line have infinite solutions.
Explanation:
A system of linear equations refers two or more lines working together. On the graph, you will see where they cross each other (point of intersection), or if they intersect at all. The coordinates at that point of intersection is the solution (or the values for x and y).
