Question 7 - Language: Level D Practice Test for the TABE Test

As a young girl, I spent many summers on my grandparents’ farm in central California. They owned many acres of grape vineyards, some livestock, and an antique shop. Several of my cousins lived on the property as well, so there was never a lack of fun to be had. My grandfather would make huge bonfires and let all of us kids take turns throwing sticks and logs into it. A dangerous activity, I realized in adulthood, but splendid fun for me and my cousins. My grandmother would come to the window, hearing our shrieks of laughter, would see us dancing like banshees around the fire pit. There was never a place as wonderful as my grandparents’ farm, and the memories of those adventure-filled days still come rushing back to me when I return to visit.
