The sum of the angles in any triangle equal \(180^\circ\), so \(\angle R = 180 \;– (90 + 30) = 180\; – 120 = 60\) degrees. According to the property of cofunctions, sin \(30^\circ\) is equal to cos \(60^\circ\). Therefore, cos \(\angle R\) must be the same as sin \(\angle T\), or 0.5.
