Modifiers

Modifiers include any adjectives or adverbs that are used to give more information about a noun or verb in the sentence. Modifiers help give sensory clues to the reader, but it is important to make sure they are placed appropriately. Modifiers work best and most effectively when placed right next to the word(s) they modify. Put them too far away from their subject and the sentence can become confusing and may be misunderstood or misinterpreted.
