Determine the line of best fit from the scatterplot values. First calculate the slope of the line (rise over run). Then use this slope and another known xy-pair to predict, or interpolate an unknown value.
Lines of best fit can be determined when the x and y values have a strong correlation. Use the point-slope equation of a line to determine the slope: \((y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)\).
