The vertex of a parabola written in the form \(f(x) = (x-h)^2 + k\) is the ordered pair (h, k). If we write \(g(x)\) in this form, it will be the same as \(g(x) = (x - 0)^2 + (-16)\), and it’s easy to see that the vertex is (0, -16).
