Set the function equal to 0, factor (use quadratic formula if necessary), and solve for x. The correct values of x will yield a true statement when plugged back into the equation.
Quadratic formula:
\(x = \frac{-b±\sqrt{(b^2-4ac)}}{2a}\),
where standard form of a quadratic function is \(f(x) = ax^2 + bx + c\).
