**point-slope formula**: $$(y-y_1 ) = m(x-x_1)$$, where *m* is slope and $$(x_1,y_1)$$ is a given point on the line, and *x* and *y* are variables   
    
**slope-intercept formula**: $$y = mx + b$$, where *m* is slope and *b* is the *y*-intercept (where the line crosses the *y*-axis)   
    
**standard line formula**: $$ax + by = c$$, where *a*, *b*, and *c* are coefficients
