Flashcard 23 - Science Flashcard Set for the TEAS

Back

Light microscopes use light and lenses, and electron microscopes use a beam of electrons.

Explanation:

Light microscopes rely on light shining through two lenses to magnify an image. They work best to magnify images up to 1,500 times. To see objects at a greater magnification, an electron microscope is used. It bounces electrons off the object to capture the image and has a magnification power of 100,000 times.
