First, select only relevant data from the source being used. Then, obtain more data from a variety of sources. Once you have collected relevant data from multiple sources, organize it to determine in what order the evidence should be presented. Finally, determine if there are any gaps and if any more information is needed. Readers use the data presented in a text to make predictions, infer meaning, and draw conclusions, so it is important that the data is accurate and relevant.
