Sections of the SHSAT
ELA
The English Language Arts (ELA) section of the SHSAT tests both reading and writing skills. Most of the questions will focus on concepts from middle school grade levels, but you are responsible for everything you’ve learned in school so far. Let this study guide help you review concepts you’re likely to see on the test.
Math
You have learned many skills in math over the course of your school career. The SHSAT math section will not specifically test all of them, but will focus on concepts taught in middle school math classes. However, you’ll need to be fluent in the skills from previous school years. Let us help you find out which ones you’ll need to practice before the test by looking through this study guide.
Hopefully, these study guides have given you the tools to determine what you need to work on before taking the SHSAT. We would love to hear about your entire testing experience. You can reach us through Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest, or by email at info@uniontestprep.com. We wish you the best of luck on the test!
