The SBAC may ask you to synthesize information in your answers, which means applying your knowledge and understanding of a variety of small parts or pieces to create an image of the larger whole or the “big picture.” You may be asked to synthesize information found in one text or to synthesize information from a variety of texts or resources, but when you synthesize it, you’re putting it all together.
