Do not move the vehicle to find a safe location. Doing so could create a lengthy and costly trail of contaminants that need to be cleaned up.

Follow these steps:

1. Check your driving partner.
2. Keep the shipping papers with you.
3. Keep people far away from your truck and upwind.
4. Warn others of the danger.
5. Call for help. (Phone or send someone. Don’t rush off looking for help.)
6. Follow your employer’s instructions.

These steps are very important in keeping what could be a small thing from becoming a big emergency.
