Sudden vehicle movements while pulling double or triple trailers can magnify in effect toward the rear of the combination vehicle, causing the trailer to swing out and then back again. This can be intensified by improper loading or slippery road conditions and can lead to trailer rollovers. This is also known as “rearward amplification”.
