When multiplying, the answer will always have the sum of the total digits after the decimal points of the two multiplicands. In this case the first has 2 digits and the second has 3.

Note: make sure the last digits of each multiplicand don’t multiply to a multiple of 10. If they do, use the trick above but subtract 1 from the answer.

This trick is very helpful in making quick educated guesses and ruling out answer choices.
