Which of these best describes the main idea of this poem?
“A Poison Tree” - William Blake
I was angry with my friend: I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe: I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I watered it in fears Night and morning with my tears, And I sunned it with smiles And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night, Till it bore an apple bright, And my foe beheld it shine, And he knew that it was mine, –
And into my garden stole When the night had veiled the pole; In the morning, glad, I see My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

It is important to make friends you can trust with your innermost thoughts and feelings. Those friends will support you in times of sadness or uncertainty and anybody who doesn’t should not be considered a friend.
If you talk about your anger or frustrations with people in your life, the anger or frustration will dissipate and you’ll feel better. If you don’t talk about your emotions and they remain bottled up inside, they will fester and lead to bad consequences.
If you don’t talk about your feelings with others, it’s not a big deal. Eventually you will get over it and learn to move past the hurt or frustration that other person caused.
It is important to not be angry at other people. When you feel slighted or wronged, just turn the other cheek and ignore the negativity.
