Brown v. Board of Education

In the 1954 landmark case, Brown v. Board of Education, the doctrine separate but equal, was found to be unconstitutional in public schools. The court saw evidence and witness testimony of how black schools lacked funding, quality facilities, and highly trained teachers when compared to white schools.
