CQI stands for continuous quality improvement. If you have two concentrations of one drug (e.g., Humulin R U-500 and Humulin R U-100) and they keep getting mixed up, one CQI action is ensuring the two concentrations are kept far apart. This will help decrease the likelihood of a dispensing error. Adding a pharmacist pop-up alert at final verification would also decrease the risk of the error occurring.
