Explanation:

The same equation is used to calculate volume, rate, and time for IV solutions; that equation is simply rearranged for each desired outcome:
Volume / Rate = Time
Volume / Time = Rate
Rate x Time = Volume
This question asks for time, so we will use Volume/Rate to determine Time:
200 mL / 50 mL/hr = 4 hours.
Be sure to double-check units, as sometimes volumes are identified by liters and “drip rates” are listed as mL/min or even mg/hr.
Also of note, an IV solution is often referred to as a “drip” because the solution drips out of the bag and into the patient’s IV line.
