Rewrite the equation in the slope-intercept form: \(y = mx + b\) The slope is m, the coefficient of the term with the variable x.
Example:
What is the slope of this line: \(8x-3y=24\)?
Rewrite in the slope-intercept form: \(3y=8x-24\)
The slope is \(\frac{8}{3}.\)
