point of view

Explanation:

One common point of view is first-person, where the narrator is a character in the story and tells events from his or her perspective using I, me, and we pronouns. A story may also be told from third-person limited, where the reader shadows one character and follows that person through the course of the story, really only seeing things from his or her perspective. Third-person omniscient point of view provides insight into all characters’ thoughts, feelings, and views. Omniscient means “all-seeing, all knowing” so a third-person omniscient point of view gives the widest, most inclusive perspective on the actions of the story.
