Explanation:
Once a reader’s accuracy rate in reading a text falls below 90%, the text is considered hard, as opposed to challenging. Texts that are too hard for readers to be able to access and navigate will result in the students becoming frustrated, and they may give up on the text because they are unable to make meaning from it or connect with it. To challenge students, texts that are read with 90%–95% accuracy are most appropriate.
