Explanation:
These are the four primary diagnoses for anemia. Anemia occurs when the body does not have enough circulating red blood cells. Disruption in red blood cell count may be due to improper formation, damaged cells, early lysis of cells, or hemorrhage.
Other types of anemia include:
vitamin-deficiency anemia
anemia of chronic disease
inherited anemias (sickle cell and thalassemia)
