cardiac output (CO)

Cardiac output is the measurement of how much blood is ejected from the heart in one minute. A normal cardiac output ranges between \(4\) and \(8\) L/min. It is calculated by multiplying heart rate by stroke volume (\(CO = HR \times SV\)).
