The test determines which college-level classes you are eligible to enroll in

The test is untimed

Questions increase or decrease in difficulty depending how you responded previously

Questions are multiple choice, with the exception of the WritePlacer® essay portion

The test covers math, reading, and writing skills

The test is broken into 10 sections

Each section has between 12-40 questions

You will be able to use an “on-screen” calculator for certain math questions
