When reading decimal numbers, the whole number part is read as usual, and the decimal part is read in terms of the final place value. Since the decimal ends at the hundredths place value in the given number, the decimal part is forty-five hundredths. If the number had been 120.4, the decimal part would be four-tenths, and if the number had been 120.455, it would be four hundred fifty-five thousandths. The word “and” is put in between the whole part and the fractional part.
