the product rule of exponents

When you multiply two exponents with the same bases, you add the bases. This is the product rule for exponents:

\[a^{m} \times a^{n} = a^{m+n}\] \[10^{6} \times 10^{2}\] \[=10^{6+2}\] \[=10^{8}\]
