Each patient will be different as to his or her learning preferences. Tactile (kinesthetic) learners will want a model to hold and feel. Visual learners will want to see diagrams, videos, or pamphlets. Auditory learners will want more face-to-face or group discussions to better understand information. Always ask which method your patient prefers.
