Sections of the CLT
Grammar and Writing
The Grammar and Writing questions cover concepts in both of these language areas. They assess whether you know how to make writing clear and effective. Use this study guide to review the word and sentence skills needed to answer these questions correctly.
Quantitative Reasoning
The Quantitative Reasoning questions on the CLT cover a wide range of high school level math skills and concepts. There are items assessing typical coursework from Algebra I and Algebra II, as well as geometry and trigonometry. Mathematical reasoning is also required. This study guide reviews all of the most important ideas from these disciplines.
Verbal Reasoning
The Verbal Reasoning section of the CLT tests a wide range of reading and reasoning skills. You’ll not only need to understand the content you read, but you’ll also need to analyze that content.
