Keeping your answer to the first question in mind, which of the following sentences from the text provided supports that answer?

Backgammon is a game played by two players. Each player moves round pieces called counters, or checkers, around a board. Players roll two dice to find out how far their pieces can move in one turn. The total of the roll can either be used by one or two counters. For example, a roll of a two and a six means that one counter can be moved a total of eight spaces, or pips, or that one piece can be moved two spaces and another piece moved six. The winner is the first to get all fifteen of their pieces all the way around, and off, the board.

Backgammon is a game of anticipation and planning, as opponents’ pieces can be sent back to their starting position if they are not protected. The game has a long history and is even older than the game of chess. It is believed that variations of the strategic game of backgammon have been played for thousands of years. Archaeologists in Iran have found evidence of a backgammon-like game dating back to 3000 BC. Other game sets and pieces have been found throughout the Mesopotamian region.
