Question 17 - Analytical Writing Practice Test for the GMAT

When proofreading, what is the main error that should be corrected in this paragraph?

The author, first of all, make the assumption that any business would benefit from radio advertisements just like Plum Café. There is no evidence to support this claim and the author should have considered that different types of businesses have different success rates with radio spots. There are some businesses that simply wouldn’t be appropriate for radio advertisements. Such as a funeral home that needs a more formal avenue for marketing. Another example would be a school for the deaf, as the target audience that that type of establishment wouldn’t be listening to the radio at all. You cannot assume that just because radio ads worked well for Plum Café that they will work well for all businesses.
