Question 11 - Analytical Writing Practice Test for the GMAT

When proofreading, what is the main error that should be corrected in this introduction?

The author makes the conclusion that state legislature doesn’t need to worry about cutting funds for state colleges, because only a small fraction of students from Waymarsh State College attended the protest. The larger group stayed at school, and thus they are more representative of college students everywhere. I don’t agree with the author’s stance because funding for state colleges is extremely important. Education should be valued above all else and without funding these colleges cannot provide the education that students need to succeed in life.
