How are the mean, median and mode of a set of data determined?

Accepted Answer

Solve the *mean* using this formula: $$mean = \frac{sum\;of \;all \; data}{number \;of \;data}$$   
To determine the *median*: Arrange the data in descending or ascending order. The median is the data in the middle of this array. If there are 2 middle numbers, solve for the mean of the 2 numbers. The result is the median.   
To determine the *mode*: Determine the data that occurs the most number of times. This is the mode.
