What are the formulas for the area of a square, rectangle, triangle and circle?

Accepted Answer

Area of square = $$side \cdot side$$   

Area of rectangle = $$length \cdot width$$   

Area of a triangle = $$\frac{1}{2} base \cdot height$$   

Area of a circle = $$\pi r^2$$
