Guess What’s Missing from the 2018 GED® Science Test?
Changes can cause anxiety, but we think you’ll like this one. Beginning in 2018, there will be no short answer questions on the GED® Science test. Can you say, “Woohoo?” That’s right! The test designers did some research and found that this type of question did not tell them anything about your abilities that they could not glean from the rest of the questions. You’ll still have to deal with the other science questions, some of which have weird formats (drag-and-drop, etc.), but at least they are all multiple choice. Bravo, test designers! One less thing to worry about when preparing for the GED® test!
This also means that the only essay-type responses on the GED® test are in the Language Arts section since the discontinuation of the Social Studies extended response in 2016. Another “woohoo!”
