load balancing
Load balancing is a technique that distributes network data transmissions over two or more connected network devices. Load balancing provides redundancy and fault tolerance by providing one or more backup paths if one path fails. Load balancing also provides high availability by distributing a workload over two or more devices, spreading traffic to avoid overwhelming a single device.
